Interactions with Pradaxa

Pradaxa has few significant drug-drug interactions, and is not metabolized by the cytochrome P450 pathway.1

Pradaxa has been shown to interact with P-gp inhibitors:1

  • Co‚Äďadministration with the following strong P-gp inhibitors is contraindicated: systemic ketoconazole, cyclosporine, itraconazole and dronedarone
  • Concomitant treatment with tacrolimus is not recommended
  • Caution should be exercised with mild to moderate P-gp inhibitors (e.g. amiodarone, posaconazole, quinidine, verapamil and ticagrelor).
